UUF Leadership


Philip Kigondu – Chairperson
Philip works as the Finance Manager at Diguna Mission Station Mbagathi. He has served as an evangelist with Diguna for more than 15 years.

Dan Dooley – Assistant Chairperson
Dan serves with an organization that supports children in the Maasai region of Kenya. He has been a part of the Diguna Radio team for many years. He was a former school teacher in the USA before coming to Kenya as a missionary in 2005.

Jane Ndolo – Treasurer
Jane brings to our leadership team many years of business and financial experience. We are grateful for her dedication to our mission of serving children in the slums.

Roselyn Nangila – Director
Roselyn is the founder and visionary of Uwezo Uplift Foundation. For more than 10 years, Roselyn served as a radio presenter and producer with Biblia Husema Broadcasting. Her love and compassion for children continually motivates our ministry leadership and our volunteers.

Martin Mischnick – Board Advisor
As a lifelong missionary, Martin Mischnick served in Zaire (today, Democtratic Republic of Congo) for 17 years. He and his family relocated to Kenya in the wake of that country’s civil war. In Kenya, Martin moved into the position of director of DIGUNA Mission Station Mbagathi. He is currently on the Board of Directors for Biblia Husema Broadcasting.

Elfriede Mischnick – Organizational Secretary
Elfriede brings many years of experience as a school teacher in Germany. She provides incredible support to the practical ministry side of Uwezo Uplift. She is also involved in the leadership of the organization, Women of Hope Kenya.

Nelli Galgithele – Public Relations
Nelli served as a staff member at Uwezo Uplift for several years before joining the Geothe Institute. Her experience in children’s and school ministries is a treasure to us at Uwezo Uplift.

Ann Vaati – Secretary
Ann is one of the beneficiaries of the ministry of Uwezo Uplift Foundation. After completing her Master’s degree, Ann decided to join Uwezo as a staff member so she can give back to the organization that helped her so much.
