Feeding Program

The attention of every child is captured mostly when they are not hungry. One very important basic need is food for the hungry children from poor families. While many of us enjoy delicious and nutritious food and even dine in restaurants, there are many poor people who do not have a meal.
Imagine a child crying and saying to the mother that she is hungry while going to bed. Desperate situations of the poor, struggling daily to get food is so heartbreaking.
Jesus gave a good example of preaching and feeding people. We at Uwezo Uplift Foundation focus on bringing a change in a child through Jesus and we consider making sure no child under our care goes hungry.

Currently, our program feeds 200 children from Maendeleo School in Mukuru slum.
With the Corona virus pandemic pushing thousands into financial hardships, the poor are the most vulnerable in this fight especially in putting food on the table.
Why the program:
- Considering the fact that every human being deserves to eat, no child should go hungry.
- To avoid the situation of children begging on the streets.
- To avoid the situation of children running away from school because they lack food.
