First, African women do face unique challenges as they seek to walk
First, African women do face unique challenges as they seek to walk with the Lord and apply Scriptural truth to the various aspects of their lives.
As wives, mothers, grandmothers, are leaders in other contexts outside the home, women also need encouragement and instruction in the spiritual disciplines, in biblical priorities and roles, and in the practical expression of Christ-likeness in their marriages and homes and in the Community.
Uwezo Uplift Foundation led by Roselyn Nangila focus on meeting with Women from marginalized or needy communities and they share the Word of God and they meet regularly to fellowship and encourage one another.
The women were also gifted with Bibles to aid in their understanding of Word more .As Uwezo shares the love of Christ we seek to teach people the Word of God so that they may each grow in the knowledge of Him. The desire of Uwezo is to know Christ and make him known. As part of Evangelism, Uwezo donates Swahili Bibles to people so that they can learn to read the Word of God by themselves and so grow gradually in their relationship with God.
Most people in the Slums and Mt. Elgon region do not own a bible and receiving a Bible for them was a great miracle and they were really grateful for the donation of Bibles. The Women also receive food donations after the fellowship.
