Food Distribution

Uwezo shares food packages with needy families in the slums and rural areas
like Mt. Elgon where the children sponsored come from.

We target the most vulnerable people in the society that includes: the extremely poor families, the old, the sick and the disabled, women and families in the Slums.

We are sharing God’s infinite love by caring for our brothers and sisters. Partnering with TS Care has enabled this work support more families in this trying time and we are so grateful for the good work. We believe no child should go to bed hungry.

We are convinced that prayer works and actions matter that is why we are taking the first step of having the food distribution project.

Feeding Program

One very important basic need is food for the hungry children from poor families.
While many of us enjoy delicious and nutritious food and even dine in restaurants,
there are many people who do not have a meal.

Imagine a child going to bed in tears, not because of a bad day, but because there was nothing to eat. Imagine a mother watching helplessly, wishing she could help but having nothing to offer.

For many families, this is their daily reality, and no parent or child should have to live this way.

At Uwezo Uplift Foundation, we believe in love shown through action. Jesus cared for people by teaching them and feeding them, and we follow that example. Our work is rooted in compassion and faith, with a commitment to changing the lives of the children we support.

To us, caring for a child means making sure they are not learning on an empty stomach. Hunger makes it difficult for children to focus, enjoy school, or grow to their full potential.

With your support, we can ensure that no child under our care goes to bed hungry and help them grow, learn, and dream again.

Social Care

Uwezo helps needy families where the children in sponsorship come from.
Some of the needs range from lack of Food, living conditions, hygiene and other needs.

Whenever we do home visits and see a very needy family as the Lord provides we look for ways of intervening. We also engage well wishers who are willing and able to be a blessing to this families.

Uwezo also supports individuals with great need either through food donations ,House rent, one time School fees clearance or Medical fee clearance.

Uwezo has also adopted a family which has a single parent who is disabled and has one Child disabled too. We cater for her rent and also give food donations once in a while to the family.
